Plage Cartier (Cartier Beach Area)

Plage Cartier is a sandy beach area used for wind-driven sports in the Sainte-Anne-des-Monts/Haute-Gaspésie coast region, with clean water and conditions that typically range from flat water to chop and small to medium waves. Riders should be prepared for a tidal environment where depth changes near shore and currents can be present, especially when tides shift. Wind is described as high-speed and closely linked to thermal/gradient behavior, with the spot specifically noted as best in west to southwest conditions. At the same time, the spot is also listed with strong usefulness across a range of directions (north through northeast/east and also west, west-northwest, and northwest), and is described as having moderate reliability with moderate gusting.
