Wind at Taguinza is dominated by Alizé trade winds from the North/North-East, with summer thermal reinforcement that strengthens conditions. The most consistently favorable months for wind sports are reported across April through September, with additional coverage into October (wind conditions also noted as strong in summer). Wind is described as relatively steady, supporting freeride and wave-riding styles; typical reported kite choice clusters around 7 to 10 m² in strong summer winds. For surfing, the spot is described as exposed and best when wind is lighter or early—before the thermal kicks in. Waves are characterized as peeling with moderate wave power and generally good quality, especially when swell direction aligns (reported optimal swell directions are Northwest/West). On bigger swell, conditions can become heavy and challenging for less experienced surfers.
